Recyclathon returns to the Redmond Centre in January 2016

by PACT ·

Give or take 2016 HackneyFixers.RestartParty.Jan16

On Saturday 23rd January, 11 – 3pm, we once again host a day of fixing, recycling and reusing at the Redmond Centre in an effort to reduce waste and provide a new home for your unwanted household items.

From 11 – 12 our Main hall will be a drop off point for you to donate any crockery, unwanted Christmas presents, children’s toys, books, clothes and more. Then when the hall is filled to burst, from 12 onwards we invite everybody in to take what items they want – a bit like a jumble sale but without any money!

Also for those treasured electrical items which you are not quite ready to give up on, our team of Hackney fixers will be there to lend you a hand to mend any poorly printers or slow laptops, with advice and support to train you on how to fix things yourself.

Our popular PACT meals will also be available offering free tasty treats made from surplus food donated by shopkeepers, which would have otherwise gone to waste!

A day of giving, taking and sharing is lining up to be a great day for all the family and good for the environment too!
