Manor House PACT got involved in a week of action to highlight what communities up and down the country can do to tackle climate change.
Climate Week is a national campaign offering practical solutions and activities to become more aware of a sustainable future.
The Redmond Community Centre hosted a series of activites to celebrate Climate Change Week over 3 days. There were activites for all ages. Local children from the estate were able to learn about climate change through various fun activities, like storytelling, model making with recycled cardboard, and a ‘recycled robot dance’ in the hall.
Residents printed their own T-shirts using nature-based designs and paraffin-free paint. Wheelytots was there to service bikes for free. Communiart, a local collective of artists, opened its first art exhibition with a late night viewing until 8pm on Friday 7th.
Many thanks to the artists that contributed and especially on the closing night with a beautiful piano recital! The pieces are still up if you want to take a look and ask us more info.
