Gladesmore Community School in Tottenham are due to release a single for their community ‘Everybody Dreams’.
Everybody Dreams was written in aid of the London riots that occured in the summer of 2011. Concerned by the negative images of Tottenham that were dominating the news at that time, the students wanted to shed a positive light on Tottenham. Over 100 students contributed to the creative process of the song. MHDT supported the publicity of the video in Hackney.
“Having a lot of corporate backing from organisations like MHDT, especially those that were affected by the London/UK Riots, made it easier to get other corporate companies to come onboard and further the cause of the Everybody Dreams Campaign”, Mark Galloway – Everybody Dreams PR Consultant
The song is performed by students at the school and has been backed by a number of public figures and musicians including Boris Johnson, David Lammy, Wretch 32, Ed Sheeran and JLS to name a few. Most notably, former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart was so moved by the efforts of the children that he has created a Radio Mix of their track.
