On June 21st Woodberry Down’s very own community choir – The Woodberry Warblers – staged a series of pop-up performances to celebrate ‘Make Music Day’, a global celebration of music-making for everyone. The choir performed outside the Redmond Centre, in the Woodberry Down Rose Garden – serenading the many queueing for fish and chips! – and inside Finsbury Park. The repertoire included everything from anti-apartheid songs to the perennial crowd-pleaser ‘Stand By Me’ with many passers-by stopping to listen. We hope that we were able to bring some joy into people’s day through the power of music. If music is something that brings joy to your life, why not try joining us on Thursday evenings at the Redmond Centre? New members are always welcome!
