The luncheon club is a project that aims at providing a healthy meal at an affordable price to the elderly residents. Besides the meal, residents also have the opportunity to socialise and interact with other locals and our volunteers, who provide the meal and befriending service.

Volunteers will help with the following tasks:

  • Help preparing meals, serving them to the residents and ensuring a great quality standard.
  • Interact with our elderly members, chat and be able to listen!

When you can help us: The luncheon club happens every Tuesday and volunteers will need to be in the Redmond Community Centre from 10:30am to 2:00pm

What you can get: Cooking with others is great fun and volunteers are encouraged to bring tupperware containers in case there is any food left over from the meal. You will have the chance to develop new skills, increase employability and learn about Health and Safety in the Kitchen. We can link further training opportunities, especially related to kitchen safety.

We will pay for your expenses and your meal. Also as part of our volunteer programme, you will also get one-to-one support from the Volunteer Coordinator.
